RESIDENTS OF SUN CITY and nearby communities are now enjoying the benefits of the new 12,000 square foot Sun City Library, which offers a meeting room, new collections and other amenities.

The new library expanded the current facility by about 5,000 square feet to enhance space for collections, computers, programming and meeting areas.

"It's give us an opportunity to provide programs at a level we haven’t been able to do in Sun City in the past," said Mark Smith, Library Administrator. Additional programs for children, young adults, and adults will be offered, he said. "It's really a library for the whole Menifee area."

Technically, the new library is a remodel, but it looks like a brand new building. The demographics of Sun City are changing and the area is home to many families with young children in addition to seniors.
